I'm unable to empty the trash in my leopard OS. I get the warning message after i hit "empty trash" and I say yes i'm sure, but the items in trash stay there.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
If you are deleting a protected file I do not think it will allow you to empty. Try moving all the files into a separate folder on your desktop and then delete them one-by-one? Or delete them by type if you have a lot of files in your trash. This has happened to me before I think because I had a system file in there. Hope this helps...
Or just open terminal, enter ' cd ~/.Trash' and then 'rm *'
(where rm * means delete everything in this directory, you could also specify
a file: rm filename)
