I've got SVN installed on my 10.4.11 box and works fine as long as I'm using it locally. But, I'm wanting to use it as a server for some other machines. I've tried the steps to use svnserve from many websites, but I can't get it to work.
Here are a few links I've used as reference:
http://wiki.rodcoffin.com/index.php?title=Install_Subversion_on_Mac
http://squio.nl/blog/2007/06/14/installing-subversion-on-mac-osx-2/
There are a few gotchas that are probably tripping me up, but I don't know what it could be. I've followed the above sites instructions, but I must be missing something. When I try to commit a file I get a 'svn: Authorization failed' error.
When I'm setting up a working copy, do I need to supply a username and password? The second reference site above uses a svnserve.cnf file and then mentions an authz and passwd files. Where would those go and what would be in them?
