Hi, i was just wondering if you could use an iMac with 2 external monitors for a total of 3 monitors? If so how and can i get 1080p? Thanks in advance.

to get 1080 P you hook up a monitor with a vertical resolution fo greater than 1080. Most likely a 23 or 24" 1920x1200 monitor. Having 3 monitors won't get 1080p any better than 2 monitors can. It's a matter of top to bottom space, not side to side.

I know. I want to know if the individual monitors can display 1080p.

Here and there!
You need third-party hardware to set up two external monitors on an iMac.

Probably something like this, though I haven't tried it with my Mac.

The product I linked to supports two DVI displays at 1920x1200 resolution each, so make sure your displays can do that.
