Most Played Song
What are the top ten most played songs played from your music library? Here are mine:
1. When You Say Nothing At All (Alison Krauss) My wife plays this song every morning. For a while she would stop it before it would count it so I wouldn't poke fun at her listening to one song out of the 7500 we own all the time. 2. Always on My Mind (Willie Nelson) Is there a better song? 3. War on War (Wilco) This whole album has the highest average play time on my iTunes. 4. Bonus Beats (Beck) Remix of Where It's At. Awesome single. 5. Sam Hall (Johnny Cash) This song just trips me out with how irreverent, rebellious and humorous it is. 6. Billie Jean (Michael Jackson) I got this from iTMS and haven't burned it on a CD, so it gets played mostly on the computer (that's my excuse.) 7. Jesus, Etc. (Wilco) Another great tune from the same album 8. Mister Garfield (Johnny Cash) "It WAS the report of a pistol..." 9. Train In Vain (The Clash) Dwight Yoakam of all people did this song. It's pretty cool on the original. 10. Frankie and Albert (Chris Smither) From the tribute to Mississippi John Hurt album that also has Beck and Taj Mahal playing on it. This is one of the most sublime blues performances on record that I have. |

1. Bubble Toes by Jack Johnson - Haven't listened to it in a while, but I used to listen to it on repeat when it first came out.
2. Save Me by Aimee Mann - Great song, my girlfriend loves it. 3. Tantrum by Mrs. Children - Another great song, by a band most people haven't heard of. Visit their site at http://www.mrschildren.com/ -- I think you can even download this song there. 4. Don't Drop Dead by Jill Sobule 5. Haley by The Carolines - A great band from Portland 6. In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel - the first song I learned how to play on the guitar. 7. Psycho Street by Richard Thompson - the ultimate in creepsville. 8. Terrible Vision by Rhett Miller 9. All Work and No Play by Van Morrison 10. Rodeo Clowns by G. Love & Special Sauce with Jack Johnson - one of the first quasi-hip-hop songs that finally got me to give hip-hop a chance.

Correction: Tantrum is only available as a streaming song from mrschildren.com. Sorry about that. Still, it's well worth it to just buy the damn song.

Yeah, that's part of the point of it. I listen most often to stuff on MP3 that I don't always listen to on CD since its on a single or something. My favorite stuff (like From the Cradle) gets played ad infinitum on CD.

The way I know highest average is because it took me 7 months to listen to every mp3 i have (so 80% of the songs have a playcount of 1). Wilco is the only album with every song above a playcount of three. It would be cool if iTunes automatically did such things.
