External USB drive powered in Mac sleep mode - possibility to change it?

hi guys ive noticed that led on my external lacie drive is on (amber) when Mac is in sleep mode; the drive spins. Is it possible to change power management settings for one USB/drive to ensure that drive goes to sleep?
