SSD option for the air is now $899 as to it was being $999

I noticed it by adding ssd that its $899 as to $999.

Cool, but it is still expensive. Let's hope that by this time next year that number will be more like $299.

edit: still 999 for me, maybe the OP is using edu store.

Yes it was under educational store, wow but at least you can knock off a $100 if your willing to spend the extra $$. I'm still trying to decide on if I want to purchase a mba or another mbp in 15" as the 17" was a little too big/resolution for me.

Also waiting for June isnt a huge deal for me even if they release the new montevina mbp, I already have a mac pro for power so it doesnt matter to me... but mostly all I do is surf the web on the portable side.. so far leaning on towards a mba 1.6/80 version.

If you have power covered by your Mac Pro, don't get a MBP. Get either a MBA or MacBook. MacBook Pros will just add extra size and cost that you don't need.
