macbook external speaker popping noise

so just got my macbook. and every so often theres a loud popping noise coming from my soundsticks. why? and help.

I have the same problem, all macbooks have it when using external speakers especially the soundsticks.
Its to do with the macbook shutting down the sound card and starting it back up, which produces the static noise.
You can download software which keeps the sound card alive, it doesnt really bother me as I play music in the office then disconnect them when I'm on the go

Hah have expirienced this for so long, im kinda used to it! I have bose speakers so i have high quality popping, kinda kool lol
