yep, 20" iMac, same specs as the 17" besides screen, and the dual 1.8 G5 (no single 1.8) prices ala think secret

US Store is back....and all of the rumors are true...20" iMac is $2199 and the rest of the Think Secret info is true except there is no single 1.8GHz G5...

What's up with eMacs?

Apple Store Special Deals page lists a "previous generation" eMac:

Doesn't look any different to me than the "current" generation eMac:

Probably includes OS 9 (bootable version).

They had to get rid of those previous generation units quick. 😉

But they did have the old low end models for $699 for awhile new, and $580 refurbished.

Yes, but they are the both the same price. Why would I want to buy a model that is also presumably without Panther for the same price? If it is clearance, then it should have a lower price as incentive. If the hardware itself hasn't changed, then it is still physically possible for it to boot into OS9. I don't see any change in the hardware configuration.
