Taking Imac g5 1.83 ghz 17" apart
Ok mistake in the title.... wish I could change the subject.
It's not a G5 it is an intel imac.
Is there a good way to take these apart? What do you need to remove to get the back off? There are 4 torques screws that I removed then there is 2 philips head screws that remove a cover that is covering some kind of compartment perhaps for an airport card.
Anyone take apart an intel imac? Do I need to remove those Phillips head screws also or is the back also glued shut or something?

I assume this is the iSight version. That model is not supposed to be taken apart; the RAM is the only think replaceable by the user, via the little door at the bottom that you mentioned. The following link shows the disassembly, but no instructions.
