Apple DVI to Video Adapter

For a Mac Pro, i need to come out Composite video...none of the Mac Pro's come with an x1900 XT anymore...will the newer ones be OK with it?

for that use, a DVI port is a DVI port, dosent matter what card

I know, I need to convert from DVI to composite. I want to use this adapter.

If someone has another way for me to get the signal from the mac pro to the switcher let me know...or If someone has another switcher I should look into and then recommend what type of connection for that.

Interesting - So you are sending your DVI output to Air? Or what will the final product be?

We used Scan converters to air PC screens all the time - But that was VGA.

I just did a google search for Scan Converter - This is probabbly what you want. More expensive than the adapter, but much better quality - These are some from Markertek:

If you were going to use the signal for a quick-and-dirty hookup to a monitor just for yucks, I'd say use the adapter - But it looks like you have a more professional application in mind.

So you wanted Video out, not just your "desktop" out. Yeah, the adapter would never have done that correctly.

Blackmagic is a reputable company but I've never used their products. There are a ton of other companies that do that - I personally uses AJA.
