In a strange way, I'm glad when a situation like this makes the news, makes you realise just how rare police shooting are in the UK.

That's true. Without keeping an eye out for these stories I say I hear about 1 a year.

Still though - my thoughts go to his family 🙁

Glad they shot the man dead, and that nobody else was hurt. Better him than the police, or other innocent people living in houses near by.

Sounds like a scary situation, I am just glad that the police and no civilians were injured as a result of that man's rampage. 😱

The thread title here made me think that someone had shot a policeman....

It's incredibly rare, but I can only see it happening more, unfortunately. 🙁

That's what I first thought and why I posted too in complete brain fart mode. But still I feel sorry for his family. The guy clearly hit some big problem that made him do this.
