Can someone help me out with this b/c I'm getting really iritated at Apple.

I have an new NANO that plays videos. I had bought this 3rd party 7" LCD player that is supposed to work with IPODs.

Well apparently a little time ago apple decided to change their SW so the NANO to longer works with this player.

When I try to play a video with the TV OUT turned on, the IPOD says its waitig for a Video connection.

So that tells me that Apple put some hooks in their SW so they won't output a video signal unless "their" device (cable or player) is plugged in.

SO whats the deal here? Is Apple really extorting me to buy a 40 Video cable?

Anyone know any workarounds for this?

Thanks

for current gen ipods you will need a official apple video out cable

the older ipod video out tricks no longer work

Just another way Apple gets to suck some more money out of us.

I am a big apple fan and I know some people out there would give their children away but am I the only one that is bothered by how they take more money from us, like with this cable thing

Sorry to butt in, but is this cable the A/V cable they put out with their iPod Photo (that they charged $600 for)?
