Hi,
Im running mac os 10.1.4
on an iMac G4 800
Im having some boot up problems. so desperately, i went to the symantec website, and i bought the downloadable version of Norton Utilities 7 for mac os x. but i totally forgot that for the app to fix the hd i needed to boot from the cd, which i dont have. is there anyway to create a bootable cd with mac os x?
any suggestions?
-my startup is really slow
-sometimes it just shows the spinning ball
-i think my hd is defraged a lot, i do a lot of music recording and deleting, plus over 3000 mp3's
-i dont run classic, i dont have it on my computer
(if not i will call symantec tomorrow and see what i can work out with them)
thanks.

ah,
i also have an iomega 250mb usb zip drive, so i can also try to set that as the startup volume, but i dont which system folder to install in it, since macos x requieres a lot of space. i could also do a cd or dvd.
but i dont know how to do it. i just need a cd or zip or dvd to boot up with macos x in order for me to run norton utilities 7 for mac os x
