Is there a way to have two ethernet ports on the mac mini? I want use a router with link aggregation to link aggregate two ethernet ports on the mac mini for more speed. So I'm wondering (1) is it possible to create a second NIC (USB?Firewire?) and if it is then (2) would these NICs be able utilize link aggregation?

The USB Ethernet adapter that Apple makes works fine on all USB 2.0, Leopard-running Macs. Would that work?

For (1), the comments on the page for the Apple USB Ethernet Adapter (an accessory for the Macbook Air) indicate it seems to work on other Macs (link may or may not work; you can search for it on Apple's store site).

For (2), here is Apple's note on how to set it up...

Also one on the specific protocol (LACP) used / required on Macs:

This definitely looks like it would work. Thanks.
