Is it worth it to sell on ebay...iBook G4

I have a iBook G4 12" that I wanna sell. Already tried to sell on craigslist but no luck there. Have been checking out how these sell on ebay and seen some sell for $400-high $500. What is a good price to set for this? Want to start my price low cause of the fees ebay charges but can't afford to take a hit. Trying to get funds for an iMac. Any advice or buyers???

I just finished selling an iBook last night on ebay:

Final price: $512.50

A 14" 1.2ghz iBook G4 w/ 768 RAM and a new 30GB HD (that was put in by Apple themselves when I sent it in for one last look before the applecare ran out in Jan 2008).

I'm not sure what my wife paid for it when she first bought it, but I know she paid $183 (maybe $198 w/ tax) for the warranty though. I'm not sure what she paid for the extra RAM either.

to give you an idea of the fees involved. It cost me about $10.45 in listing fees beause I also added highlighting and bolding (the bulk of the listing costs - but if you look at what mine went for compared to what other similar ibooks went for in the completed listings, it was worth it). And the final value fee paid to ebay was $19.25 - so total ebay fees, $29.70.

Paypal took $15.96 of the payment also for their fees.

The buyer paid $27.55 for shipping and I used all of that towards shipping in generating an online label (I guessed 10 pounds for the ibook package with everything except parts - let's hope I'm accurate).

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the amount of money I could get back. I got real lazy with this. In November of 2007 I think is when I purchased a new MBP for myself and handed off my older (15" 2.16ghz C2D MBP off to her). I could have sold this laptop late last year - especially when it was still under applecare. But I kept delaying, and now finally 6 months later got around to selling it. Ah well.
