Sharing media question

I have a Mac Pro and a MacBook Pro and I'm looking to view/listen to my music/videos/pictures on my laptop on the go. I have been looking around trying to find a solution but I haven't been able to come up with anything yet. I would like to be able to use Front Row, but it doesn't look like that is possible. Anyone know of a way I can view my media from my laptop outside my local network anywhere?
