is there anyway to get movies bought on the apple tv

Purchases made on AppleTV should sync back to your computer automatically. The only content on AppleTV that doesn't sync to the computer (using the 2.0.1 software) are rentals.
 
Yeah... Well, not without hacking your AppleTV, anyway. Shared libraries are just sources; syncing back to them isn't part of the plan.
