I haven't seen this really talked about much elsewhere, so I thought I'd share my experience. I just did a fresh install of Windows XP SP3 on my Boot Camp partition, and installed Boot Camp 2.0 (then upgraded to 2.1) after the Win XP SP3 install.
It worked fine. So if anyone wants to get a clean install of Windows with their own slipstreamed disc, go for it. This is on a Santa Rosa MacBook Pro. Details here:
