iPhone touch screen won't respond

i dropped my iphone on the top left corner and now there is a line on that side of the screen and the whole touch screen doesn't respond.

i did connect it to itunes and that worked, it's just the touch screen that doesn't work.

does anyone have any suggestions...i can post pics if wanted
