PowerBook won't turn on?

I booted up my PB a second ago and the battery was at 30 something percent. Well, now (whether the lid is closed or not) the sleep light is on (fading in and out) but the machine won't turn on! I've tried holding down the power button, took out the battery, but the sleep light is just flashing.

I do not have my power pack with me, but my point is that the battery was on 30-35%.

Any ideas?
