I am sitting in a hotel on a high speed internet connection. I clicked on finder and I see four other computers on my local network (I am assuming). Some are Macs and some are Windows.

1. Is MY computer being seen too?!
2. How do I STOP that if true?

Everything is unchecked... but that still freaks me out. Does my computer show up on the network even if everything is unchecked?

Under the Advanced Firewall settings you can set stealth mode.

If none of the Sharing options are turned on I wouldn't worry.

Canada EH!!!
They can probably see that yours is there. I can see all the computers at work but I can only look at the files if they have file sharing turned on.

Any cool stuff on their computers? ;)

Turn on iTunes to see if they are sharing their iTunes library.

Cheers.
