i have a completely upgraded powerbook pro. i purchased an apple usb modem in spain (no mac in ethiopia).
i cannot connect to ethiopian telecom. symptoms:
1) no sound on modem (works through computer speakers)
2) seems like it is trying to handshake with telecom but i keep getting "script errors" or something like that (am at net cafe so cant quite remember exact log text).
3) i bought the thing in spain and when i try to tell the appropriate dialog box to change from "spain" to anything else it will not allow the change (i am wondering if the modem is specific to spain or EU).
am in the deep south of ethiopia and this is driving me crazy...
