Function Keys Do Not Work in Vista

But if you are saying when you hit like F2 and the brightness setting comes up, suggest using fn+F2. fn is probably in the bottom left of your keyboard, or the top right next to the delete key, and will allow you to use the F1 though F12 for the application you are using.

I did- by typing in "Function keys with Vista" and it returned no hits. I would have thought it would have returned something.

Macrumors.com search doesn't work sometimes, but Google does since they seem to index macrumors.com often. So often that a new post showed up in google when I used Google to help try to answer the person's question.
MAC, AutoCAD and F Keys
I use a MacBook Pro with VMWARE, XP and AutoCAD 2002.
Simple solution to the Fkey problem......

alternatively the 2.1 bootcamp drivers should provide an option similar to OSX to open the bootcamp control panel and check or uncheck how you use the F1, F2, Etc keys.
you can have it use them from their "Special Keys; dashbooard, brightness, etc" or as the "Regular F keys"
