Hi There,

Can anybody help me and teach me how to edit the field 'description' for tv shows and movies items in itunes?.

If I buy something from Itunes that field is filled, but if i have something imported from my library I didn't find yet a way to edit that field.
I can edit 'comments' filed but not description...

Thx

I got MetaX but I really don't like it very much....so there's no other way to edit that field using only itunes?

Hi Cordeiro,

I wondered the same thing because I wanted to add the description for use in Front Row. However, I found that by adding to the comments field, this shows up in Front Row.

As for the Description field, you can edit and add to this using QuickTime Player - Show Movie Properties (Apple-J). Then you can click on "Add annotation" and add a description field. However, strangely when you reload iTunes the description field is still left blank.

Does anyone else know the answer to this?

Thanks,

:-Joe

If you are using a Mac, you can use this script to:
Simply and quickly edit basic tags of a multiple selection of video tracks in iTunes, including show, video kind, season number, description, long description, comments, lyrics, artist, album, genre, rating and enabled; set played/not played; options to automatically increment track numbers and episode numbers and IDs.

The script is great, but if you remove the film from the library the information is lost.
