Hello guys,

I am a new Macbook user and 've 2.1Ghz macbook with updated Leopard. Today by clickein on 'Get Info ' on Macinstosh's Harddisk i changed the permission for All Users (or other users) to no access, but for other two admin and user it was left unchanged (read and write, i guess).
I then put the macbook on sleep and went out, on coming back the macbook was hanged and i had to restart, by pressin power button. But on restarting it reaches blue screen, and doesnt start up. I hear the chime and grey screen is there, but after that it fjust shows blue screen, with round status bar.

I have tried other options the foll. options as mentioned in forum for this kind of problem -
1. startin in safe mode - NO HELP
2. Clearin PRAM - NO HELP
3. Removing Battery and press power button for 5secons - NO HELP

Could anyone tell me how to fix the problem, and if it is due to the change in permission settings i did in my Harddisk.
I use windows xp on dual boot. In worst case i am ready to reinstall Leopard but would like to save my documents as well as my photos in Iphoto (really imp)

Thanks for your help,
