I would be shocked if apple painted or used a different colour other than black for the front face of the iPhone. I thought the whole point of black was to make the screen stand out and have the entire face like a clean tablet, this kinda looks like the iPhone has a cheap silicon case on it. Still, it looks pretty real, and I suppose it could be (I wouldn't be getting white though heh).

it's hard to tell...

one one hand the phone looks real, no obvious signs of messing. quite different, but Apple-like

but on the other, the lighting is different from the original packaged box and the packaged box is on a desk, whilst the unpacked is on the floor (looks like carpet)

Surely if someone has opened it this far, they'd go all the way in taking more photos. If it's the real deal they're really going to milk this out.

That front camera sticks out like a sore thumb. That's the one thing making me think it's a fake pic.

On closer examination, the area around the camera looks like a definite chop.

It doesn't look as small as an iPhone to me..
It looks more like a 6" tablet..
But seriously, doesn't that look too wide and tall for your hand? Proportions don't seem right.

Why is it still in the box?

I think the only reason the person taking these photos takes them with it in the box is to try to add some credibility which in itself is very telling. If its a real 2G iPhone take it our of the box take lots of pictures turn it on use it and maybe even some video, but then I guess if it were fake that would require a lot of work.

FAKE FAKE FAKE.

Why would there be a CD and manuals outside the iPhone box?

Why would Apple make it an ugly gray?

Why would the NDA breaker not just go all out?

Why would the picture of the iPhone on the box look so fake?
