Do I Need a new warranty from Square Trade for my 2nd Gen Phone

Hi all,

Anyone know what the policy for warranties on Squaretrade is on transferring my warranty? I would like to switch it over to my 2nd generation phone when I get it and my warranty just says that it's an iPhone (no model number, size, serial number, etc.), but I just want to see if I'd have to get a new warranty or if I could transfer the old one. Thanks!
