I'm typing this from a MacBook, which an hour and 15 minutes ago said that the battery had only "43 minutes" until it was charged. Right now it is at 99% (Finishing Charge) for about 10 minutes and it is bugging me. Does this happen to anyone else, where the indicator tells you a much lower number than reality?

Lithium Ion batteries have a curved charge trajectory. The first 98% is done quickly but that last 2% or so can take a while. Its a characteristic of the battery technology.

yea the indicator is jacked up

i thought my mb died when i was using battery. said i had 1.5hrs of charge eft and suddenly went blank and couldnt turn on

thought it was rsds all over again (which i had experienced early on on my mb)

then i plugeed it in and thank God it booted

When was the last time you ran the battery down to nothing and had the Mac go into auto-sleep mode?

Not for a few weeks probably. I'll do that once I get home, it has been difficult to do lately since I don't stay in the same place too often.
