Can Applications be Turned Off?

My computer was recently upgraded to 10.5.3 and now has two versions of adobe illustrator installed. Illustrator CS2 and CS3. CS3 was installed to practice with the new features. All my work is in CS2 and each time a file is opened from the desktop the default application that opens is CS3.

aside from deleting CS3 is there any way to 'turn off' CS3 as the default app?..


any help is appreciated...

Right-click on a file in question, "Get Info", under "Open With" select the desired program and you're done!
 
Right-click, Get Info, under Open With hit the drop down menu and choose Illustrator CS2. Then choose Change All, confirm, and voila!
