wow, $199 and $299. I guess the folks who sold their current iphones for $400 and up are looking smart now. Still, I may just keep my gen 1 because it's still serving me very well, and it will only get better with software 2.0 (which looks awesome).

My first gen model will be given hand-me-down status on July 11.

Can't wait to see the Australian pricing...

Product page is now up on apple.com

-power adapter seems to be about half the size of the original
-uses A-GPS, so you can still get accurate data if you have an obstruction blocking the gps signal

So, no tablet eh? Bit of a dry keynote. But I'm getting an iPhone as soon as it comes out in Canada!

Great and all...but without 32 GB there is no way I'll be getting one.

Damn you solid state memory get cheaper!!

Also, that was an incredibly boring keynote...I'd expect His Steveness to have the sense to speed up the demoes.

on the apple store, GPS is written as A-GPS or assisted-GPS.

what is this exactly?

If you bought a second hand iPhone on ebay for £300.

BWAHAHAHAHAH

Seriously though this looks like one great device, can't wait to see all the new features once its at a store. Plastic back is fine with me, all phones are plastic anyway. This is going to be so popular its unbelievable.

Wow that was looong. Good stuff though, apps look great. I wish they went more into detail on how the GPS works, maybe more can be gleaned from the video.

No 32 gig, so I will probably (hopefully) be waiting till there is a midcycle update.
