Apple made a number of announcements at the Worldwide Developer Conference keynote today at Moscone West in San Francisco, CA. Amongst the most anticipated was the announcement of the iPhone 3G which confirmed a number of circulating rumors. The entire keynote transcript along with photos remain posted at MacRumorsLive.

Please review individual news stories for more details about each announcement:

- Apple Announces iPhone 3G in 70 Countries
- Apple Previews iPhone Firmware 2.0, Additional SDK Notes
- Apple Revamps .Mac: Mobile Me Announced
- Apple Highlights iPhone Enterprise Interest
- iPhone Apps Announced: Super Monkey Ball, Loopt, Pangea Game and More

One other announcement that Apple made during the keynote was that they would be providing developers with a preview of Mac OS X 10.6 ("Snow Leopard") this afternoon. This session, however, will be covered under non-disclosure, so while we don't expect any official features or announcements to be coming from Apple, some information is certain to leak.

Weird no front camera and no iChat

Very nice, would have been nice to have that front camera and iChat.

Oh well, sounds great.

White back was accurate.
Plastic back was accurate.

Nothing to buy or play with...nothing available today.

Thank god I waited... 3G and GPS were the functions I wanted before switching. I feel bad for everyone who dropped 600 dollars on an iPhone thinking they'd get good value selling them used. I think a 2G iPhone is probably going to be worth 80 dollars on craigslist, tops. :(

Also of note, none of the "leaked" photos circulating before the event were accurate, and there is no front-side video camera on the iPhone.

Didn't we already see the back of the black iphone a few weeks ago???

.Mac features not in MobileMe

What will happen to features not highlighted in MobileMe? Such as groups, iCards, etc. Are they just gonna do away with those?

3G + GPS = awesome goodness

I would have also liked to see video chat and 32GB of memory.

I'm not waiting for the next rev - I'm taking plunge with the 16GB model.

Yes, "Snow Leopard." I had assumed that was only a project code name.

I'm disappointed that I won't be able to get an iPhone 3G this month. They say patience is a virtue, so I guess I'm not feeling virtuous.

???? Disappointed???

Wow.... some people are never happy!

I think people are only disappointed because they got what they asked for. I think Apple has done a great job of updating an already killer product! 2.0 seems much, much better and the new 2.0 software is killer. There is little reason anymore for anyone not to get an iPhone over a clunky Palm or Blackberry.

I have a 1.0 iPhone... I hope there is a trade-up policy! I'll jump on it!
