New folder animation on the desktop (10.5.3)

I get that, but was the little folder icon so that it kinda 'opened' when you hovered it? I cannot remember, in normal finder windows this is not tha case as it aint on custom icons...

I know what springloaded it, tho that little thing happening with the foldericon itself is what i mean 😀
 
OMG help, i work with a mac since OS 7, I never noticed this before, justed tested it on a Tiger machine and it does the same kinda thing! HELP! weird I just noticed it or something
