I GOT MY IPOD sTOLEN WHILE IT WAS IN MY JACKET TODAY
in the university (30gig)

that is ****
did this happen to someone
is there a sort of protection plan against stolen mp3 player for future purshase

i am pissed

I got my iPod stolen a few weeks back out of the valuables box while at a football practice. I got it replaced by the school. Great new 10 gig 3G iPod.

Do you have one of those household insurance plans? Check with your insurance company. I got my bicycle stolen years ago, and the insurance company bought me a new one, even though it was stolen in school.

yeah, homeowners or renters insurance may cover it.

look around for stolen ipod registries, if you have the serial number... you can at least make sure that if they try and sell it, there's a chance they could get caught...

i would assume there are stolen ipod registries by now...

In the Netherlands you can insure your mobile phone against theft or when you break it. The same insurance will probably cover a device like an ipod too!
