Hi, I have an old first gen iPod. I just bought my wife a new 10 GB iPod. The old iPod uses 1.1 iPod software. The new iPod uses 2.0 iPod software. We only have one computer with two seperate user accounts. How is this going to work?

Old iPod and new iPod on one mac? Two users?

Well you can plug them in both if you have two firewire ports. The mac will see it as two external hd drives. Itunes however.... I can't answer that question! It will probably asks which pod to sync. To be on the save side, use one ipod for one account and unplug the other!
we are a 2 ipod household and it works fine. i have it set up to update the ipod manually.
the computer will recognize each ipod independantly. meaning-if i plug mine in it says adams ipod.
if she plugs hers in it says jens ipod.
as far as syncing goes. i dont know how that woudl work.
