Is there any way that the monitor on the iMac can be used for another computer?

First of all, do a search next time. This was asked about two weeks ago.

Unfortunatly, the iMac monitor cannot be used with another computer.

True, there's always a way. But to take on something like this, I think you'd need an EE degree.
