My friend claimed he ha iTunes 8 on his mac, obviously thinking that this was not real i asked for a look, he showed me it and to my astonishment it looked very like a new iTunes. :eek:

With the new view, grid, when the album art is clicked on it flips around in a similar way to the current ipods.

Could this be real, how else could he have shown me this or is it just a mod or new iTunes 7 mode? :confused:

Anyone seen this before?

It is a complete fake (and a bad one at that). Look at the search bar it is so far away from the right hand edge it is comical. Plus the coverflow and other view style buttons are on the wrong side (they should be on the right).
 
hmm.. Was it a video he showed you or a photo? A photo could be very easy mocked.. but a video..

EDIT: after taking a look.. It looks faker and faker.. The text is not very readable in the shadow of the cover art..
 
It was a video, which may have been harder to do but i thought it was fake, oh well.
 
Well I had no way of actually going around and seeing the application as he lives quite a while away and i said i needed more proof than just a picture, so he sent me the video, i personally like the new menu idea but doubt that it is real.
 
This is definitely fake.

I have a feeling that iTunes 8 will never come, and iTunes X will come with QT X and SL.

Unfortunately i don't have the video to upload it is in a massive file somewhere on my computer and i have no idea how to upload it at all anywhere sorry, i'll try but i am unsure how.

You could find it, edit it in iMovie (to make it smaller) and then upload it to Youtube. Ta daa! :)
