quick ipod question

does the usb 2.0 connection also backwards compatible wit usb 1.1 for the ipod? or is usb 2.0 required?

I would think so...

However, I was under the impression that all USB 2.0 was backward compatible with USB 1.1 and USB 1.0.

Yes it is, but be warnerd it's ULTRA slow.

It'll work. USB 2 will almost awies work backwards...

USB = Ultra Slow Bus

When / if you do use USB 1.1 be prepared to wait a long time before all your songs move onto your iPod...

do you have a mac with a pci slot? if so you could ad a firewire card for as little as $30-40 and then your ipod would smoke at transfering from your hard drive.
