Is there anyway to stop the MBP from throttling down when on battery/gaming

I notice extreme studdering when I'm trying to play a game on Battery, and was wondering if there was anyway I could force that to stop?

System Preferences -> Energy Saver

Change "Settings for" to "battery"
Change "Optimization" to "Better Performance"
