Clarendon, VA Apple Store

Assuming that the launch is at 6:00pm I will be there as early as 8:00, anyone else planning on being there.

If you just moved TO virginia beach, clarendon is a bit far (4 hours). The closest apple store to you is MacArthur Center in Norfolk. >20 minutes.

Clarendon is a neighborhood in Arlington, VA, in the D.C. Metro area.

I will be in line at the Clarendon store a little before 6am, FYI.

I couldn't get over to Clarendon this morning, but I'd love to hear any reports -- what the crowd was like, how fast (or slow) the buying process is going, what the supply looks like.

(And I'm insanely jealous of you folks who were able to get there this morning.)

Question

Can anyone give any idea as to how the line is at Clarendon and if they have sold out of any of the iPhones?

I work right down the street, I can confirm the line is wrapped around the shopping center and to the crate and barrel at around 12pm. I just called and they told me yes the do have them in stock, and that "the line is about 4 hours deep".

Thanks for the update.

And now (at 5:45) I'm here -- the line still stretches to B&N, but it seems to be moving steadily (if not quickly).

There are still around 100 people in line, and they say they are definitely closing at 11:00. I wouldn't bet against a riot breaking out. (They are also running low on 16 gig black models.)

So I took the plung and I went... 4 hours was an understatement!!! I got there at 5:15 and got out at 11:30. I must say they really needed about twice as many employees but all is well. Was it worth it? HELLS YES!!!! I'm writing this post right now on my new iPhone :-D this thing blow my treo 755p out of the water! The line was still deep when I got in (around 10:30), but fear not everyone that got turned away, they have a boat load of them left. I did not see any shortages what so ever. Good luck! I hope you enjoy your iPhone as much as I am!

hey, this the network ops manager? i was inline with you i believe for most of the time. i had the brown shirt on, my boy was on my iphone talking to att forever about the primary care holder ****.

i ALMOST didnt walk out with one. my fan account was still blocking the upgrade/swap from going through, but finally i had another apple rep call business care and they forced it through.

i would have been livid if i didnt walk out with one after being in line for like 4.5 hours.

you end up getting the white 16gb?

Heh. I was the shaved-head guy standing right behind you. I got out at 10:40. I was going to come mock you for taking so long before I left, but it seemed unkind. (Did you pal get everything worked out?)

(And yes, the 5 hours was worth it.)
