just messing around with an iBook yesterday. Maybe im completely blind or something but there is no delete key???
Is there any key combo that provides same. I know that for the hash key i have to alt + 3 . Is there anything else like this on the ibook keyboard?? Does the powerbook have a backspace and a delete key.
Thankfully the delete key may not be that important since you never have to punch control + alt + delete !!! 😉

delete key is on the upper right hand corner. what's the problem? 😀

i assume you are referring to the "del" key of PCs, where the character to the right gets erased as opposed to "backspace" which is labeled as "delete" in Macs - and erases characters to the left.

Mac's "del" key equivalent is fn-delete.

fn key is on the bottom left. delete key is on the upper right.

For the iBook keyboard, you have to do fn+delete. The closest equivelent on a Mac to ctr+alt+del is apple+option+esc.

Control-Alt-Delete is the Windows escape command.

Its Mac equivalent is Command(apple)-option-escape(esc)

But if you are looking to do a keyboard restart you have to press:

CTRL + Command (Apple) + Eject

if you're looking for the Program Manager

goto:
~/Applications/Ulitities/Activity Monitor

If you need to force-quit an application because it's crashed, press Cmd-Option-Esc. If you want to reboot the whole system, press Ctrl-Cmd-Power. If you need to press Option (Alt)-3 to get a hash, then you must be using a UK keyboard.

Wow, that fn+delete is really cool. And I thought I knew everything 🙄.

what does fn-deleate do? It seems to do nothing on my powerbook.
