2 week old MacBook - battery life won't max over 96%
My brother just ordered a MacBook and he's had it for only a few weeks. He has taken it with him a time or two to another buddy's house, but for the most part it has just sat on his desk. He closes it at night and it's always plugged in when he's home. He showed me that the battery icon hasn't gone above 96% in about a week and he's not sure why. Any help?

Have him unplug it, and let it run down to under 95%. Then plug it back in.
I think they are designed to not charge if the level is above 95%. So you need to use the battery to drop the level, then it will charge again. -Kevin

Also, if he's plugged in most of the time, he should calibrate the battery once a month or so, to keep all the juices flowing and get the max capacity.

Not sure if this is of any help, but my iPod touch does this too.
When I unplug it from fully charging, it will always say 96%. I don't think it's anything to worry about.
