iPhone 3G Unboxing Photos

An iPhonePortugal forum user (via Engadget) has posted the first photos of the iPhone 3G being unboxed. It appears the unit is one of the demo units supplied to stores. According to the poster, the internet speed is quite good and the App Store is not yet online.

The first of the demo units are said to have been arriving at AT&T stores as early as today.

That doesn't look like the slimmed down charger they were going to be supplying with the phone. Anyone else think the same? Glad they kept the nice looking box.

I'm guessing they didn't design one with a plug for European outlets. Guess they are out of luck on that front.

The black background is a problem for me. It has smudges all over it.

Awesome. It's always good to get something early.

Maybe people will buy the white iPhone 3G more because look at those fingerprints on the black one.

what do we think is going to be more popular..black or white? white gets dirty, black shows fingerprints.. any thoughts?

That photo definitely has me leaning towards a white now. However, I'm still nervous about having a white. I know that over time in being your pocket, it will get dingy.

I'm guessing that firmware 2.0 is on there with the AppStore application on the phone, but not yet able to connect. I was wondering if the phone would ship with any new surprise apps preinstalled, (like the YouTube app, last year,) but I suppose any new apps can be downloaded when the AppStore goes online.

So you have two options, you get the white and it gets dirty or you get the black and it shows the world how filthy your hands are.

Hmmm...

I just saw all the comments (above) about the fingerprints. So true! I guess I've heard of this problem before but didn't quite imagine that it'd be so obvious. White seems like a better choice now. But, white doesn't seem as much of a "guy" phone as the black one. Hmmm. Anyone else feel the same?
