0.29 Mbps (287 kbps / 35 kb/s)
Transferred 256 KB in 7.3 seconds
Done on EDGE.

Note that the iPhone was docked and nowhere near outside where there would be a better signal.

I'll update if I remember this Friday.

I'm happy with edge speeds for the most part, now if you could tether 3g I would be waiting in line right now for it lol

You are correct mightymike, "nobody" HAS corrected the mistake.

I have tried in a few places around town and get between 176-205 kbps. I thought Edge was supposed to max out around 150 kbps?

you all were too quick on picking up "too" that you missed "there." should be "their" unless its not someone's iphone. its just sitting there.

Sorry but what about "from there iPhone" in the ad at the top of this page, is it correct? Shouldn't it be "from their iPhones"?

I'm Italian so I might be mistaking.

I guess it's not the "iPhone Speed Test over EDGE with Grammar Support" version; I'll wait for a new firmware update.

:: sigh ::

iPod Touch on WiFi: 0.32Mbps.

The sad thing? I'm sitting less than two meters from my wireless router's antenna, and have a 100Mbps fiber connection.

Pretty cool. But it seems like there is a lot of variability in the results?

I'm getting 2.8Mbps on an iPhone with WiFi. I can't imagine the iPod Touch would be slower at WiFi than the iPhone.

Isn't that faster than EDGE can perform. I though the max down was 180 something. Am i incorrect that anyone knows.
