Apple Launches MobileMe and Apple TV 2.1

Apple has finally launched their MobileMe service at Me.com. The web-based service replaces .Mac and offers web-based email, calendar, addressbook, online storage as well as sync services. Apple has also released an update to their Apple TV to version 2.1 that incorporates MobileMe support as well as iPhone/iPod touch Remote capabilities.

Apple also released iTunes 7.7 tonight, which is required for MobileMe.

One final Mac OS X MobileMe Updater should become available through your Software Update shortly. One forum user had found the download link for the MobileMe updater which replaces all instances of ".Mac" on your Mac to "MobileMe" and also updates the Mac OS X Mail client.

Sweeeeet.

Wow, servers are going REALLY slow. It's cool though. The thing did just launch about 3 minutes ago.

Any word on whether the syncing is working yet? I plan to do a whole lot of calendar editing at work today

They're relaunching iCards!

Some MobileMe members cannot access iCards. Service will be restored ASAP. We apologize for any inconvenience.
