Here is the situation. I am currently traveling in Europe. I want to download iPhone 2.0 and add some apps for my trip home. The problem is my iTunes library is on an external drive at home. Is it possible to create a temporary iTunes library and use that to update the phone? I know it is possible but my real question is will I have to and be able to redownload the apps I buy now for free, copy them back over from my phone or itunes library file, or will I have to pay twice for them? Any help would be appreciated.

I also am wondering how this will affect restoring from the backup?
