don't want pdf screen capture...

argh, i don't like this...

i want screen captures to be jpgs...i don't want to have to use preview either to convert the pdf's to jpgs...

is there a utility/hack out there that changes this setting so that they are saved as jpgs?

Good question, I would like to know this as well. I don't know why it would ever default to pdf. Drives me nuts.

If you use grab (apps/utilities) it will save them as tiff's. I have not found anything else yet.

use snapzpro from ambrosia.

It defaults to a .pdf file because that is the standard file type of the Mac OS X imaging system.
