hello guys...this is my problem

im thinking about buying a macbook (white, 2.4 ghz...)
i need it for some amateur hobby video editing (final cut studio 2, i have it already 😛),nothing too serious
-im student and i dont have enough money to buy MBP

-i have to make decision within 2 days because my friend is staying in US until then (in my country this model costs 2200 dollars 🙁) so i cant wait for a new model (i would really like to see multi touch touchpad and MBP like case 🙂)
(can you live without multitouch touchpad 😀?)
so...should i buy MB or another PC laptop...? (please,be objective, no fanboi comments 🙁)

The FCS specs say you need a actually video card, that it wont work with the integrated ones in the MB. Since you already have FCS2, why not get a MBP.

well, this fcs2 owner thing is a bit complicated (dont worry, there isnt pirat buissines around 😉)

Yeah the Final Cut Studio specs say it wont work without a dedicated graphics card but I run Final Cut Studio 2 on my 2.2 Ghz Macbook. Motion and Color run a little slow but I don't use them anyway. Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, and Compressor all work just fine. I have edited 25 min videos on my Macbook before. The export time was around 6 hours on a single pass export but thats to be expected with a Dual Core CPU. So I'd say if your just doing it as a hobby you should be fine.
