Good Artists

ANyone know any good electronic artists that i might like, I have only ever listened to a few things and was searching for more. At the moment i like...

Fatboy Slim
Hot Chip
Justice
Aphex Twin
DJ Shadow
The Field
**** Buttons
LCD Soundsystem
The Prodigy

I know not all of these bands are electronic but i have no idea about what comes under the genre and these were just ideas. Bit of a strange question but thanks.

Leftfield are surely among those you should check out. They released two proper albums (1995 Leftism and 2000 Rhythm & Stealth) before they disbanded. There is a Best Of compilation as well, but you should stay away from that one since it doesn't feature the full tracks but just the versions taken directly from the albums, which makes for some pretty bad transitions, missing intros/outros etc.

Electronic music isn't my strong point, but there are a few songs I like:

"Supermoves (Animatrix edit)" by Overseer
"Chateau" and "Furious Angels" by Rob Dougan
"Burly Brawl" by Juno Reactor & Don Davis
"Dread Rock" by Paul Oakenfold
"Technologicque Park" by Orbital

You can find a lot of awesome artists in action movie soundtracks, like The Matrix, xXx, The Fast and the Furious, etc. and some game soundtracks, like the Need for Speed series. You should definitely check them out.

BTW, you mentioned DJ Shadow. Have you heard "March of Death", a song he made with Zach de la Rocha?

Just for something a bit different, these are albums by artists who do not generally do this kind of music, but you might like particular albums:
Depeche Mode - Violator (e.g.: "World In My Eyes")
U2 - Pop (e.g.: "MOFO")
David Bowie - Earthling (e.g. "Little Wonder")

I like covers of Depeche Mode songs a lot more than the originals.
For example Sonata Artica's "World In My Eyes" or Lacuna Coil's "Enjoy The Silence".

if you like LCD Soundsytem, you'll probably like MSTRKRFT and Death from Above.

I also suggest the following:

Trentemoller
Lali Puna
Goldfrapp
Royskopp
the Notwist
Ladytron
M83
UNKLE
Mum

I'm getting into dubstep right now because there's a huge scene emerging in the bay area. Burial and Kode9 are definately recommended.

Otherwise, my favorite artist is Mr. Guillermo Scott Herren aka Prefuse 73. His records are amazing. In the same vein as P73, you have Flying Lotus who just released the amazing "Los Angeles", Gaslamp Killer, The Field and Calvin Harris are a few artists I have in rotation right now.

There was an EP released a few years ago by the band Jaga Jazzist called "Animal Chin". All of their releases are great, but that was the first EP I heard from them. They're a ten piece Norweigian jazz band with a rack of electronics. It's amazing amazing music. It's beyond "nu-jazz". Kruder and Dorfmeister is a great downtempo group.
