iPhone 2.0 exchange problem - cannot compose email

I am having a problem with my exchange account on my 3G iPhone with 2.0.

The exchange account is syncing and everything is working great, but when I try to compose an email, i am able to type the first letter of the "to:" address and then it closes to the home screen.

Another post suggested making sure that my exchange contacts are not syncing (which they are not - only my mobileme contacts)

Anyone else had this problem?

so i just realized this is not an exchange problem - it was just coincidental that it started when i joined my exchange account.

I cannot compose any email - when I am trying to type in the contact i type the first letter and when it goes to look up the contact, it freezes and closes to the home screen... help!
