2 iphones one mobile me family account

At the moment I have a single .mac / mobile me account and use it with my iphone 2g

I am planning to buy my partner a 3g iphone and wondered the following.

Can I upgrade my mobile me account half way through the year to allow her to join in?

If so is it possible for us to share CALENDER ONLY on the two phones.

We would not need to share contacts or mail etc.
